Spring break has arrived. Read more to make sure you're getting the most out of your break!

Spring Break is the time to get away, even if only for a day!

Relax and Enjoy!

Note: You will be returning back to school after break!

Before checking out for the week, be sure to leave things in a

good spot to come back to. The semester/quarter will be there to pick back up where you left off. If you have an intense major with exams following spring break, it is highly recommended that you make flash cards or a note sheet for to study during the break. No matter the major, some review is always better than no review.

Ahhhhhhhhh - Breathe; this is your chance!

During this time it is important that you give your brain and body the rest it deserves. Incorporate some time to yourself, where your future plans and school are not invited. Engage in some activities that will allow you to de-stress and take the load off. THIS TIME IS FOR YOU.

Traveling - Make it one for the books!

Have a plan in place: before getting to your destination, have in place where you will be staying, your transportation, and of course, FOOD!

Driving long distances: make sure you rotate drivers and passengers in the front seat. Whoever is in shotgun has the job of staying awake and alert. They will be handy for directions and looking out for incidents.

Strength in numbers: it's important to know that the more of you together, the better. You don't want to stray away from your group or go anywhere alone. Always be aware of your surroundings and the whereabouts of your travel group.

Find my phone: there are apps that allow you to locate your friends and family with the push of a button. This is a good tool to have, just in case you end up separated from your group. iPhone Users have the option to enable Find My iPhone with their iCloud in case you misplace your phone.

Android Users have the option to enable Find My Android through Google.com to find their lost device.

Make sure to carry cash: have enough cash for the duration of your trip. Also, notify your bank of your travel dates, so that they do not flag or block your account. Be sure to store you money in

different compartments. That way if you lose some of it, you wont lose all of it.

Know your options: know what is available, in terms of transportation, housing, and attractions. Know what options are more cost efficient for your travels. Take in account Uber, Lyft, taxis, scooters, bikes and public transportation. For housing, compare different hotels and look on AirBnB or HomeAway for affordable homes and apartments. Knowing the attractions in the area will not only give you something to do, but it will also allow you to be adventurous and try something new.

Be safe and make the best choices: Remember--you are still a scholar and there are people rooting for and looking up to you.
